Hall County, Georgia set to update its Comprehensive Plan

Hall County, Georgia, is in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan, transitioning from the 2022-2037 revision to a plan for 2045.  The new plan is in its public consultation phase, and is expected to be implemented in November 2024, which introduces new codes and regulations, as well as making it more user-friendly.

What does this mean for Hall County?

The updated Comprehensive Plan will introduce new character areas and zoning categories, facilitating higher density development in designated zones.

These new categories include Agricultural General District (AG-1), Mixed-Use (M-U), and Residential Mixed-Use (R-X).  Depending on the location, some areas will be designated for higher density and higher value properties (e.g., M-U and R-X), while others maintain rural and undeveloped areas (e.g. AG-1).

The draft 2045 Comprehensive Plan Update is available at the link here.  We at DLBP welcome and look forward to these updates that will facilitate future growth within the county.
