Caroline Burnette
DLBP is pleased to announce the hiring of Caroline Burnette Dervan as a Director of Planning in the Atlanta office. Caroline is responsible for providing real estate development and land use advisory for clients based in the United States. In this role, she will leverage her consulting experience from the commercial real estate sector to inform planning strategies and decisions.
Caroline is passionate about analyzing and visualizing qualitative and quantitative data to enable her clients to make data-driven decisions. She enjoys investigating market conditions affecting various asset classes to understand the unique supply and demand dynamics that impact project feasibility. Caroline is particularly adept at providing insights and building consensus among project stakeholder groups, which often include key constituents from both the public planning and private development sectors.
Caroline delivers six years of development advisory, site selection, and market research experience to the DLBP team. Prior to joining the DLBP team, Caroline was an Associate at Brailsford & Dunlavey where she served as a real estate advisor to institutions of higher education throughout the southeast and central United States. In addition, Caroline spent four years at Colliers International as a Geographic Information Systems ("GIS") specialist where she analyzed demographic and market conditions to support site selection decisions for over 250 projects spanning office, multifamily, retail, industrial, and hospitality asset types.
Caroline holds a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from Georgia Institute of Technology (Go Jackets!) and a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Florida State University(Go Noles!) Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Caroline now resides in Smyrna, Georgia, with her husband and cat.
